Catherine L. Hansen is an assistant professor in the Center for Global Education (GlobE) at the University of Tokyo, where she teaches writing, literature, and game studies. She is a researcher of global surrealism and the European avant-garde, and a writer of scholarly metafiction. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, and has lived, worked, and taught in Beirut, Paris, New York, and the Carolinas.
