BIO
Catherine Hansen is Assistant Professor by Special Appointment (tokunin koushi) in the Center for Research and Development of Higher Education at the University of Tokyo, where she teaches writing and literature. She is a researcher of European and international avant-garde literature and art, and a writer of historiographic metafiction. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, and has lived, worked, and taught in Beirut, Paris, New York, and the Carolinas.
