BIO
Catherine Hansen is Assistant Professor by Special Appointment (tokunin koushi) in the Center for Global Education (GlobE) at the University of Tokyo, where she teaches writing and literature. She is a researcher of global surrealism and the European avant-garde, and a writer of historiographic metafiction. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, and has lived, worked, and taught in Beirut, Paris, New York, and the Carolinas.
